Halfway there!
Today was 20-week ultrasound day! First off, have you ever tried to drink 32 ounces of water in a 15-minute period? I honestly almost puked, it was totally ridiculous. The ride to the doctor's office was uncomfortable at best with a bladder that full. Seeing our baby up on the screen was the coolest thing! I totally cried it was so amazing. Even if it did look like an alien or perhaps a baby skeleton. Seeing proof that an actual baby was in there finally made it real for me. After a while, the ultrasound tech was having trouble determining the baby's sex, so she suggested I go to the bathroom and let a little out and then come back. Seriously? Let a little out? She's all, "oh, just count to 20 and stop, that should help some." Let me tell you, that's easier said than done. I still can't believe I managed to get through it. And I swear was in the bathroom every 15 minutes for the rest of the day after that. Stupid water.

OH YAY! I came over here just out of curiosity, and you've written all these posts! I'm catching up now, even though I pretty much know everything you went through. Ha!
ReplyDeleteOne question: how did you get the video of Twinkie (love the moniker!) at the ultrasound? Our 20-week appt is next week and I would LOVE if I was able to get one, too. Such a great idea. And your little Twinkle is just darling...love the suckling and wiggling about!
I love this video! She is amazing!!!! I love how her little mouth is moving- sucking or doing whatever she is doing in her little safe resting/growing place...
